“excellent tool for any coach or player to have in their bag to help with timing and control of the contact point on all strokes”Johnny McCornmackCoach
"A must have for every coach and serious player. I’ve been using the tennis pointer regularly, but this tool improves on it by allowing you to swing properly, with your normal shapes with a great feeling upon impact. When you hit it clean… you really hear it! "Ashley NeavesTennis Coach & The Tennis Mentor
The first batch of sabers proved to be more populat than anitcpated.
Our next batch will arrive in October (20th) 2022. With the current feedback and demand we recommend you add your name/email to our wait list as the next batch is guaranteed to be a sell out.
It weighs 312 grams strung.
Yes it comes strung.
Of course, it can smile
It can be restrung with either a manual machine, an electronic machine with the badminton kit and it's possible with an electronic machine without the badminton as Nikki from Unstrung Customs shows us here in this video
We recommend stringing it between 25 and 30 lbs (11 kg - 13.5kg).
Based on customer feedback from the 1st batch 30lbs seems to be the most popular.
The saber has a bigger hitting area compared to the pointer, it's more comfortable on the arm and less forgiving but still difficult.
Also, it allows you to easily hit spin with your normal grip, unlike the pointer where it's harder to hit spin and you have to adjust your grip.
Plus wait til you see the fun you have with it!!
Currently, it's only available in one weight. Right now there are no immediate plans for a lighter version.

Love the saber
Great and fun tool to help you find the sweet spot on your racquet. I coach my 8 and 11 year old daughters and they love warming up with the saber. Their only complaint is the weight but it’s understandable for their age. This is really fun to play with and makes you focus on the ball. Thanks to Fabio for the immediate responses and friendly communication.
Quite Fun to Use!
It definitely helps out with warming up and whatnot but actually playing with it goes from a fun experiment to a serious and worthwhile effort. Switching back to a normal size racquet almost feels like cheating.
What every pro needs
Amazing piece of gear that helps you find the sweet spot. The Saber is great for working on spacing and the follow through on your groundstrokes. I use the Saber for every warm-up as part of my routine. I can't recommend this product more highly and believe it would be a benefit to anyone who wants to improve their game.
Saber - Yannick Born
I really enjoy getting to use the saber during my tennis lessons and also to improve my own game. It helps to find the correct contact point and allows the player to have a better feeling for it when using the normal racket afterwards. The only thing that I am concerned about is the re-stringing of the saber after heavy use because of the smaller racket head.
Amazing sweet spot trainer
I am coach that develops young players and this racket is great to make them feel the contact point, therefore, making them hit much cleaner!
Functional tennis Saber
I found this item extremely useful to help with timing and great fun ! I would recommend everyone buying one and keeping it in the kit bag :)
Making your sweet spot a habit
My overall experience with this raquet was spectacular. It really helped me with the backhand, serve and the inside out forehand. I highly recommend this raquet for training and making your sweet spot a habit.
A great and very helpful trainingstool to train with. The customers are quite keen for it!
Saber is fantastic
I have been so positively surprised by the Saber that I now have two. Perfect way to start the session and dial in sweetspot. It has the feel of a decent tennis racket and gives excellent feedback if off balance or out of position
- amazing training tool paired with a ball machine - has completely re-wired my way of thinking about strokes to focus on contact vs destination. (so far a good thing.) - need to tweak weight balance to better match my daily racket which is customized. the timing/swingpath is a little too different between the saber and my real racket - comically awesome - great for ground strokes -- haven't tested too heavily for serves and volleys - easy to re-string. just cut your normal tension in half is a good and easy rule of thumb. - really good grip shape. i was surprised i didn't need to mod anything in that regard. great as is. - highly recommend to the curious people reading this
